The last barbecue of the 2008-2009 summer season on Monday evening saw an unprecedented attendance of 21 people, with one member even coming from interstate especially for the event. The weather was wonderful, the food once again was magnificent, and the company was fabulous. Special thanks to Hilary Vaughan for organising the occasion and to the other members of the social committee for ensuring that the evening was a success.
Thanks, also, to Mick and Shane for their barbecuing skills.
So far this year, we've taken advantage of the warmer weather in scheduling barbecues after training into the club's Social Calendar. With the start of a new calendar year, it has been great to see so many members attending the planned functions so far. The club now moves into its winter calendar of events where the focus will change from outdoor venues to indoor venues.
